9Gauge is a rapidly-growing Austin-based consulting practice and we are seeking a part-time HR Administrator to manage our talent needs. Successful applicants thrive in a fast-paced, technology-enabled, collaborative work environment.  The ideal applicant is a top performer who has experience in HR in a professional services firm with accountability to a senior leadership team.  The HR Administrator is responsible for supporting all aspects of HR and Recruiting.  This will involve HR support as well as screening, scheduling, interviewing, testing, managing the hiring process and establishing hiring manager relationships, and following-through with onboarding and other responsibilities after a candidate joins the team. 

15-30 hours/week; flexibility from week to week is required.



  • Provide support in the areas of employee recruitment, hiring, retention, evaluation, and employee engagement
  • Maintain HR documentation relating to employee activities such as recruitment, onboarding, compensation, and, performance evaluations
  • Determine applicants’ qualifications by reviewing candidate resumes in the Applicant Tracking System (ATS), screening candidates, analyzing responses, comparing qualifications to job requirements, and verifying references;
  • Schedule coffee meetings with hiring managers, technical assessments, and schedule full-day Topgrading candidate interviews;
  • Organize and document post-interview debriefing / feedback with recruiting team;
  • Enter/update candidate information into ATS on a daily basis;
  • Generate recruitment metric reports both manually and using applicant tracking system;
  • Provide hiring managers with updates and summaries of recruiting progress and activity;
  • Manage the new hiring onboarding process:  Conduct first day onboarding sessions and coordinate with all team members involved in new hire onboarding;
  • Carry out various human resources programs and procedures for all company employees;
  • Maintain employee information in the HRIS, BambooHR.  Document processes and work to streamline HR workflows.
  • Assist Culture Club in nurturing a stimulating culture in line with 9Gauge’s values so that 9Gauge continues to be an employer of choice.
  • Support management regarding HR data inquiries and information for personnel actions.
  • Complete reference checks in order to determine applicants' employment acceptability.
  • Responding to employee, manager and HR team requests and escalating issues as appropriate.
  • Conduct employee exit interviews.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.




Required Education and Experience

  • 2-4 years HR Administration experience preferred;
  • 2-4 years Recruiting Coordination experience preferred;
  • PHR Candidate a plus;
  • Experience working directly with hiring managers and coordinating full life cycle recruitment processes.
