Marketing Coordinator

The primary focus of the Marketing Coordinator is to be a part of and support the Business Development team by effectively participating in marketing projects and executing core recurring, monthly activities. The role will be hourly, with an estimated 20 to 30 hours a week work schedule, with the opportunity for a full-time position. It centers on delivering content, messaging, and branding to continue to position 9Gauge as the market leader in Texas and keep our strategic partners aware of our services, capabilities and successes which ultimately drive the success of our referral network.


This individual will work as a partner to the Marketing Manager in the following breakdown of the position’s responsibilities.


  • Manage marketing campaigns and their various components, including:
    • Launch direct marketing campaigns to help fill sales pipeline, accelerate pipeline, and re-engage prospects, active, and inactive clients
    • Collect content and assemble eBooks, marketing collateral, written content (e.g., blogs) from consulting team, intriguing newsletters to improve click-rate, etc.
    • Coordinate schedules to launch video testimonial efforts
    • Publish key messaging that supports 9Gauge value-offering to target market
    • Participate in creating and executing a plan to get 9Gauge featured in major publications (e.g., Inc. Magazine, Austin Business Journal)
    • Drive the application process for 9Gauge participation in all relevant awards and the communication plans for accolades
  • Participate in client engagement efforts, including identifying best methods of driving client interactions (i.e., webinars, workshops)
  • Order and send recognition gifts to clients and partners; and maintain office swag inventory
  • Ensure contact and activity information captured in Salesforce is accurate and up-to-date
  • Upkeep website and social media posts (Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter, etc.)
  • Update and track client and partner Google Alerts regularly
  • Other duties as assigned


Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Leadership skills and the ability to work independently
  • Self-motivation, maturity, and versatility
  • Resourcefulness with a “can-do” results-oriented approach to challenges and problem solving
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and a passion for teamwork
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience in Salesforce preferred but not required
  • Knowledge of marketing related strategies, concepts, tools, and the SWOT analysis process required
  • Ability to work efficiently in a technology-enabled environment and apply technology to create efficiencies
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
  • Experience in digital or graphic support welcome
  • Some professional work experience preferred



Role is open to recent graduates or students in their last year of a 4-year degree in business, marketing or a related discipline
9Gauge will work to accommodate class schedules, however students must be able to travel to and from the 9Gauge downtown Austin office during regular business hours
9Gauge Partners will work with student to fulfill college credit requirements
