Senior Manager - Transaction Advisory Services

THE JOB

The Transaction Advisory Services Senior Manager will be responsible for managing transaction-related engagements for middle market strategic and financial (private equity) acquirers. Engagement types will be on both the buyside (e.g., due diligence, managing integrations) and sell-side (e.g., sell-side readiness/sell-side QofE, managing data flow and presentation through the sale process).

THE EXPERIENCE

You are a perfect for this role if you have the required 5 or more years of prior M&A or transaction advisory experience. We highly prefer an MBA and/or CPA. If you have the required 3-5 years of public accounting experience, preferably within an audit role, then you are a great fit!

You are comfortable and confident interacting and working directly with C-level personnel. We also highly prefer experience in M&A and integration experience within an operating environment (Business Development or Integration Management roles).

THE REQUIREMENTS

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, specifically business writing aptitude
  • Strong proficiency using Microsoft Office Suites, specifically Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Ability to interact with and adapt communication style to successfully convey messaging and objectives to all levels of management
  • Self-starter with executive presence and team-oriented spirit
  • Capable of working in a demanding, deadline-driven environment either independently or within a team dynamic while effectively managing unexpected issues and/or questions in a professional manner
  • Ability to analyze large volumes of data to identify potential issues and propose the most appropriate resolutions to deal structures and/or operational processes
  • Capable of identifying post-acquisition action steps to achieve anticipated earnings/cash flow improvements
  • Excellent project management skills with ability to produce quality work project with an attention to detail
  • Monitor progress of engagements, manage risk, and keep key stakeholders informed of key findings and expected timetables
  • Manage, develop, train, and coach staff on projects, and assess performance for engagement and year-end reviews
  • Capable of initiating and maintaining solid relationships with all levels of client personnel, as well as utilizing network and industry relationships to identify business development opportunities
  • Solid knowledge of technical accounting areas such as US GAAP
  • A willingness and ability to travel, when necessary
